School Holiday Burnout

Most likely you have spent a lot of time with family over the last couple of months; kids home from school, partner off work, extended family meet ups. It's been fun seeing all the kids interacting, catching up with our brothers and sisters, and checking in on how the parents are actually doing. It's been great. Fulfilling even… at first, but now after a couple of months of no time for you, how are YOU holding up? Yes, I know you love your family, I love mine too, but that doesn't mean I have to ignore the way that I feel. 

What Mums say:

“I can’t wait for school to start”

“My kids are so bored”

“I’m exhausted from my holiday”

“I feel like I spend my whole day in the kitchen”

“my glass of wine is getting bigger each day”

“I’ll get a break when school starts back up”

What I hear:

“My kids are driving my crazy”

“I’m out of ideas to entertain my kids”

“I really need my partner to step up and help me”

“Are they even grateful for all the things I do for them?”

“I need help, its all getting to much”

“I can hang in, just a little longer”

What is actually going on:

I don’t know how to connect with my kids anymore.

I'm afraid I’m not doing enough.

I don’t feel worthy in my relationship.

I feel unseen.

I don’t know how to connect with my inner guides and resources.

I don’t have adequate boundaries.

Throw your hands up in celebration if you just truthfully acknowledge where you are at!

Start making changes today

When I work with one on one clients the first thing we do is work to REVEAL what it is that you really want out of life and REVEAL what's tripping you up, stopping you from grabbing and unleashing this vision or version of you that your heart truly desires. When we know what it is we desire in our lives we can start to bring it forth.

Try this

In bed each morning before you get up and are disturbed by all the day's activity, give yourself a moment to fully be in the upleveled version of you that your heart truly desires to be and feel. Lie there, feel this dream in every fibre er of your being, embody it. Put yourself in this ‘life’ as though it's already happened. 

Time to celebrate again! You know how to MANIFEST! Do this everyday, more than once if you can. Create an affirmation and do throughout the day to really power-boost these vibrations.

Now to me, here is the dark chocolate shavings on top of the tiramisu! Gratitude


While you are embodying this vision of you, in this life you deserve, be grateful for what you have received even though it hasn’t happened yet. For example:

“Thank you Universe, I am so grateful to be seen and cherished by my partner and children. I feel free to speak my truth and be heard from a place of love. The boundaries I created have led to days of me feeling balanced and fulfilled.  And so it is, and so it is, and so it is.”

That little gem was you setting yourself up to RECEIVE.
